It begins with ideas.
Ideas born out of the beauty of our world and ideas inspired by its people. Over the years i've seen how ideas can be given form through the art of photography. It has inspired me to pursue photography as a means of expressing myself. I saw that through photography, I could realize the visions that become visible in those moments just before one falls asleep.
It started with my two grandfathers and their dabbling in the magic that is photography. Curiosity became intrigue and eventually evolved into a full-on obsession. A darkroom in the garage was followed by a bachelor's degree in photography. Hard work and perseverance paved my way to Europe, where I had the privilege to learn from masters of photography in various fields of expertise. Led by the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of light, I developed into a photographer with a passion for the conceptual image.
I live and work in Cape Town, with Amsterdam as my European base camp during our winter months and
I'm represented by Red Hot Ops in Johannesburg.
